i started this little site so i could tell other people about something i thought was neat, craftivism, a concept that combines crafting and activism. it's tiny, but sometimes tiny is good. i learned to knit in 2000 at new york city at a knitting circle on the lower east side. i remember saying, 'dude, it's like trying to work with chopsticks...' i knit, sew, crochet (sort of), spin, embroider, decoupage and am obsessed with sheep. i tend to do more socio-cultural craft research than actually make stuff to sell, although i do make things for charity. i am continually amazed and inspired by the craft community and the wonderful individuals i have been privileged to meet through it.
no, the finished project won't look exactly like this. it will be more organized. honest.
